Janey Loves Natural anti ageing skincare from Inlight

At last a brilliant organic brand formulated by the wonderful Dr Mariano Spiezia, Mariano and his wife Loredana have created something very special with this range.

This is a naturopathic doctor who really knows about skin, Inlight have a great range of products that have no contraindications with homeopathic remedies and I’m a big fan of their deep cleansing salve and their facial oil is wonderful but lets focus just for a second on anti-aging, something very relevant to all of us !.

The appearance of wrinkles is linked on one hand to the how we move our face, its literally connected to emotions and psychological factors, but on the other hand its linked to the natural ageing process influenced by many life style factors (food, sun exposure, smog, pollution, lack of sleep etc.) .  We can’t stop the ageing process of course but it  can be “controlled” or “slowed down” by having a correct life style and correct diet, rich in vitamins, antioxidants and vital nutritional factors. To keep away wrinkles you also need a cosmetic routine based on moisturising oils rich in antioxidants, Vitamin E, essential fatty acids, chlorophyll and enzymes.
Mariano and his wife Loredana have created something very special with this range.
-
I'm a very big fan of facial ols, particularly olive oil, jojoba oil, rose hip oil, all rich in Vitamin E and EFA, protect, soften and moisturise the skin reducing the evaporation of the “internal water “, and have an antioxidant and protective action against UV rays. Many are the herbs available in Nature that encourage production of collagen together with astringent and anti-ageing properties.   However wrinkles don’t miraculously disappear if covered up (sadly) , they need to be “treated” and not even moisturising is enough to keep them at bay.  The skin needs to be well nourished and well fed in order to keep young and healthy. This is why a beauty daily regime full of antioxidants is essential.
Inlight suggest you get started with:their

Janey Loves Lillipops for morning sickness and nausea

If you’ve been pregnant and had the misery of morning sickness or if you are pregnant and just fancy a treat I have the answer I really do !

New Naturally Flavoured Lillipops Iced Soothies are the perfect
comforters to Aid Pregnant Women Suffering the symptoms of Morning Sickness

Dr Hilary Jones gave these a special mention on air a few months back, he’d heard good things about them and backed up that the ‘science’ behind how they work.,  the ingredients such as ginger, chamomile and mint help with the feelings of nausea but the ice apparently helps too !  Basically Lillipops Iced Soothies are delicious ice pops specially but especially formulated to alleviate the symptoms of morning sickness.    And, in recent trials by the AOGOI (Italian Association of Hospital Gynaecologists and Obstetrics) found to be effective in 70 % of cases with no side effects.  (Think in the vid I said 90 per cent but hey ho still an amazing result !!)

Available in 5 soothing, refreshing natural flavours – grapefruit & tangerine, lemon & mint, camomile & orange, lime & vanilla and ginger - and with no artificial colours or sweeteners added, simply pop them into the freezer and call on them whenever you feel dehydrated, or a bout of sickness coming on.   Include them in your prenatal kit - Lillipops are the perfect aid in the delivery room.

The founder Denise Soden, Lillipops founder, who came up with the idea when pregnant with her third child, herself had an extreme form of morning sickness that saw her hospitalised 13 times during her first pregnancy.
She found ice to be a wonderful food substitute but wanted flavour so she devised her own ice pops with great ingredients.

Recognising the importance to mother and baby, Denise and the Lillipops team have researched the best ingredients preferring to use only natural ingredients suitable for mum’s heightened taste buds and those that have a tradition as remedies.   Ginger, for example, has traditionally been used to ease symptoms of nausea; camomile for its calming and relaxing properties; citrus fruits such as orange, lime and grapefruit are refreshing and mint is revitalising and calming for the digestion.

But, there is more to Lillipops than originally conceived.   The Lillipops team has been inundated with enquiries and testimonials recommending them to alleviate nausea and an inability to take and keep down fluids caused by various medical conditions including chemotherapy, diabetes, tummy upset and as a post-operative comfort.  And, if the nausea is of the self-inflicted kind, they make great hangover cures.

The Lillipops website is a joy to visit, too.  You can  study self-help tips relevant to the various stages of pregnancy, seek advice if necessary on anything from food cravings to baby names, read testimonials from “pregnancy buddies” and there are even links to other great pregnancy and parenting sites.

Fantastic value too Lillipops have a Recommended price of £6.95 for a 20 ice pop multipack of all 5 flavours.   They are available through Amazon, good independent chemists nationwide, or on-line now at http://www.lillipops.com/

Janey Loves natural olive oil soap from Queen of Aleppo

I love my natural soaps so I was delighed when these 'Queen of Aleppo' soaps were introduced to me, they are 100% natural olive oil and laurel oil with no parabens or nasty chemicals.  Aleppo soap is made from natural oils derived from the fruits of olive and laurel trees and is biodegradable.   There's no animal testing.

Its Suitable for all skin types but especially beneficial to those with problem skin, e.g.  eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis as it can also cleanse hair so its especially good for reducing dandruff and for psoriasis. They also contain laurel oil which  is an effective cleanser, antibiotic, anti-fungal and ant-itching agent. Compounds extracted from Laurus Nobilis have recently been identified as an inhibitor of human melanoma (skin cancer) cell proliferation, as well as inhibiting other human tumor cell growths, and breast cancer cell lines.   Olive oil has been known for generations not only for its healing qualities but also as a natural, deep penetration moisturiser, regenerating skin cells and softening the tissue.

Olive oil refreshes, cleanses and moisturises the skin while the laurel (noble plant)  known for its antiseptic properties will soothe the skin, its gentle and naturally suitable for babies,  Amazingly this soap can be used as a shaving cream. It has no added fragrances just the natural laurel aroma.

Aleppo soap can be used daily as soap for washing and shampooing, as face mask, as shaving cream and baths for infants and babies.   The soap promotes wound healing, is effective against insect bites and is used for a variety of skin ailments such as skin allergies, irritated skin or conditions such as general Dermatitis like Eczema, Psoriasis, Bacterial Dermatitis, Acne, Herpes, Rosacea, as already said it also helps prevent hair loss, dandruff  and it aids in the recovery of skin diseases. Unlike most soaps, Aleppo soap will float in water, kids enjoy that !

Janey Loves Silk Perfect Pillowcases

We all know about the importance of sleep
but did you know you can boost your health and improve your looks all while you slumber?   I am loving these gorgeous 100 per cent pure silk pillowcases but its not only about how luxurious they feel.

SilkPerfect, Luxury 100% Pure Silk Pillowcases are expertly designed to minimise the signs of skin ageing, restore hydration, alleviate allergies and leave locks looking smooth and glossy, banishing bed head forever! The ultimate beauty sleep staple!

So how can a pillowcase be Anti- aging ?
After sun damage, one of the biggest causes of skin ageing comes from sleeping on traditional cotton, linen or polyester pillowcases.

Expensive night creams might promise to hold back the years, but sleeping on rough cotton pillowcases can limit their effect so by preventing osmosis, SilkPerfect pillowcases help to keep product on the skin, helping you to make the most of your beauty routine.

The best benefit for me has been my Hair !
Sleeping on cotton fibres can result in that waking up to the ‘dragged through a hedge backwards look’. Silk on the other hand is made up of strings of amino acid which has the same ph as your skin. It is these proteins that help to prevent fizzing and split ends, ensuring you wake up without the dreaded ‘bed head’. In addition, SilkPerfect helps to prevent the loss of natural oils leaving hair with a healthy shine.

Perhaps best of all for people with Allergies
·       Silk is naturally hypoallergenic helping to ease the side effects of eczema. Tests have shown that the majority of people with eczema have an allergic reaction to dust mites. House-dust mites thrive in warm, damp places and are found in greatest numbers in mattresses and bedding.

·       SilkPerfect 100% Pure Silk Pillowcases are ideal for helping to keep those mites away. silk contains the amino acid “Sericin” which holds an ‘anti-acarid’  property to prevent the growth of mites and mould.
·       Dust mites cannot cling to silk fibres, which ensures they avoid them in the same way a creature avoids spider’s silk. As a result, silk is inhospitable to dust mites.

Now if you’re concerned about silk, I’m reliably informed that these are  suitable for vegetarians. The amino acid strings (silk fibres) that make up our pillowcases are a by-product of the silkworms during their growth stage. Similar to wool and leather or honey and milk, Vegetarians choose whether to include these items in their life, depending the strength of their beliefs.

I should point out though that they aren’t suitable for vegans. Silk fibres are made from a  viscous protein substance secreted from the glands of silkworms which harden into silk on contact with air. This soft, lustrous fiber is obtained from the cocoon of the silkworm, and as an ‘animal’ product, is not considered suitable for vegans.
Treat yourself to some luxury and benefit your hair and skin in the process.

Janey Loves the Nutri-sqEase Max Juicer from Wholistic Research

One of my favourite online stores is the Wholistic Research company, they sell a huge range of products and always seem to be at the cutting edge of whats new in water filters, ionisers, sprouting kits, light boxes, emf protection et al plus of course juicers and blenders, well imagine my delight when they told me about the Nutrisqueese max

You know I’m a huge fan of juicing, and of course we all know that in an ideal world we’d all use masticating ‘slow juicers’ but the problem is I’m time poor and I’m making juice every morning for 6 of us before rushing out to get the kids to school so I’ve always made do with a fairly basic whole fruit centrifugal juicer, with a high rpm speed which I know isn’t the best for health, but at last there is a new revolution in juicers !

The Nutri-SquEASE Max Slow Juicer is a masticating juice extractor that uses the new patented Low Speed Technology System (LSTS). It is called a “Slow Juicer” because it operates at only 85 RPM and uses a mere 150 Watts of energy, instead of 6,000 to 24,000 RPM and up to 1,500 Watts of energy like a typical centrifugal “High Speed” juicer.

But don’t let the name fool you, this Slow Juicer actually juices faster than most centrifugal juicers and expels much drier pulp with a much higher yield of juice that doesn't seperate, so you're left with drier pulp and less to need to throw away.

Its a lower RPM but interestingly it juices faster than many high RPM juicers.    Its nice and small so doesn't take up too much workspace and to make sure the flavour of one juice doesn't taint the next, you can just pour water through it between juices.   Best of all this machine makes richer juice, it keep its original colour and doesn't oxidise as quickly, most importantly you've got the maximim nutrients and you can really taste the difference.

This versatile machine also makes fab ice creams and you can buy a nut milk bag and make your own healthy nut milks too.

Really great value and a special offer right now at
